Deanna is AMAZING!!!! She catered my wedding a few months ago, and the food was FANTASTIC! She made an entire vegan wedding for us, and being two of four vegans in our entire combined family, my husband and I were constantly being complimented about the food. The food was outstanding but what blows my mind more is how incredible Deanna is! Our wedding venue was giving us a hard time and not willing to help us at all, and Deanna and her staff stepped right in and made sure our wedding was beautiful. I know it would not have been as amazing as it was if Deanna was not part of it. My husband and I are thinking of different occasions we can hire Deanna for so we can get a taste of her phenomenal food again! She did such a great job and will always have a piece of my heart for all of her hard work and dedication to make our wedding so special.

Our mission

Our mission

Our mission is to support our local agriculture for organic food production - deliciously.

Deanna’s passion for locally sourcing her food has led her to the little town of Bovina Center, NY where she is surrounded by her farmers. An average event is sourced from a thirteen mile radius from her kitchen to insure you get only the highest quality ingredients the Catskills has to offer.

Deanna is a pleasure to work with on so many levels, personally, professionally and artistically. She created an experience for me at an intimate outdoor gathering. Right down to the beautiful vintage dishes, napkins and tablecloths, she paid attention to every little detail. Her cooking is exquisite and boy does she do it with a special flare. I can’t wait to have another event catered by Chef D.

Our Farms

Our Farms

Our food is lovingly grown, raised and crafted by some pretty amazing farmers in Delaware County, N.Y. Catskill Regional Harvest store in Delhi, NY opened by  Nicole Day Grey of Agriforaging Safety has been an incredible source of local and artisinally crafted food in our region. The most amazing charcuterie!!!

Check out some of our farmers, they are awesome!  Straight out of the ground farm,  Ramble Bramble farm,  Berry Brook FarmLucky Dog Farm,  Burn Ayr Farm in Delhi, NY ( they have Scottish Highlanders and a B&B). Edible flowers and beautiful veggies by  Burnett FarmBramley Mountain Farm gives us beef from his Belted Galloway herd.  Our vegan cheeses and pates are made by the fabulous Lori Robin from Cheezehound (out of this world). Taylor Foster of Heaven on Main is our goddess of all things sweet and dessert like.    Betty Acres Farm makes fresh cheese for all of our events and oh that aged Delchego is worth a trip to her farm. Dirty Girl Farm has organic goat milk now for our risotto and goat cheese. Bovina Valley Farm, I am so in love with Alderney, this raw organic cheese is made aged and young. The aged Alderney is what we use instead of Parmesan (keeping it local).

Lets not forget our cider. We started using all local beer and ciders instead of wine and it has been wonderful. Thanks to Wayside Cider and  Awestruck Cider ( we just catered a wedding there - so cool)

Our food comes fresh from all of our local farms.  Organic food grown, raised or crafted closer to home is not only more nutritionally dense but it sure tastes better too.  We happily accommodate dietary preferences and restrictions. We love vegan weddings as much as we love all weddings.

Where do I begin? Chef Deanna is amazing. It started many years ago when she owned a pop up restaurant and I had her homemade Manicotti for the first time. I had never tasted anything so delicious.
As soon as i got engaged I knew that I would only have chef Deanna cater my wedding. She is kind, fun, flexible, but above all she creates food that is as beautiful as it is delicious. To this day my guests have reached out to tell me how much they loved the food at my wedding. As someone who cares more about food than anything else; i knew that good food at my wedding was my #1 priority. My husband works in food sustainability and when we found out how passionate Deanna is in food sustainability herself we knew it was a match made in heaven. Deanna makes it a point to support other local food purveyors and create amazing dishes that are in season. I truly cannot say enough good things about this woman or her incredible food. I CANNOT WAIT until she opens a restaurant where I will happily gain 100lbs eating her manicotti. Thank you chef Deanna!

ORGANIC FARM TO TABLE CUISINE

We do love wedding season! Our exceptional staff goes beyond what is expected to make your day, the best day! We serve our food on cast iron and vintage platters because at no point during your event do we want you to feel like you are in an industrial production line. We also bring the vintage plates, silverware and mason jars -  a few less things for you to worry about.

We highly suggest a good wedding planner for your event.  The best one in the area is Kate Arel from Charmed Affair, we have worked with her many times and she has proven to be a master of her art form. Tell her we said Hi!

As I begin writing this review, so too, I begin to drool — for that is the yumminess of Chef Deanna D’Angelo’s cuisine.
Chef D’s food delights the palette and tickles the soul, as if the woodland faeries themselves have joined her to invoke the pleasures of fresh, local, responsibly-sourced ingredients that she steeps in love and creativity. A meal prepared by Chef Deanna takes you beyond her expression of love, unto its own experiential realm. Express your needs, then let go, and give this gifted woman the freedom to work her magic interlaced with unimaginable pairings; always presented on an inspired eclectic assemblage of grandmother’s china.

This visionary chef’s catering is magical. Eight months later, our party guests are still talking about the gorgeous presentations with antique serving pieces, the high quality of local ingredients, and more than that, the exquisite flavors. How wonderful to have her prepare her distinctive rice balls with local goat cheese right in my kitchen! (No pre-cooking for this chef.) With a generous and friendly demeanor, Deanna shines on and on, hugging guests in the midst of running a tight ship with a helpful staff that works harmoniously and with great aplomb.”

If you are considering going with Chef Deanna for catering - DO IT! From the minute we started talking to Deanna we immediately felt welcomed. Not only does she take great care in all the amazing food she prepares, but she took great care of us as well. We never felt like any of our interactions were a transaction, we always felt like we were working with a friend.

The food itself - everything is locally sourced, delicious, and also gorgeous, dotted with her signature flowers from her garden. It is both a treat to the stomach as well as the eyes. I am gluten-free and as a surprise she made sure to set aside a plate of crostini for me and my husband for right after the ceremony, with gluten-free toast - the care and attention to detail she gives to all her clients is above and beyond anything I’ve seen before.

Deanna made sure our vision was executed within our budget and our guests are still raving about the food. We already miss our wedding food and hope we get invited to more weddings that she caters so we can enjoy her creations! Again, if you are in the Catskills and looking for the perfect wedding caterer, contact Chef Deanna!

We found Chef Deanna through Instagram and were intrigued. I sent her a quick note, and next thing you know, we’re on a phone call for over an hour that felt like 10 minutes.
We asked Deanna to cater our 115 person, mountain top wedding with as much fire-prepared food as possible. Think Francis Mallmann (google him if you arent familiar). No running water. No electricity. She was game. She was more than game. She came ready to rumble and was cooking on the fire pit from morning until late night.
Deanna is warm, talented, energetic, charming, and generous. She made amazing, locally sourced, fresh food our guests are still raving about. She has real relationships with farmers and producers in the area - her local connections are priceless. Her whole team never broke their professionalism and wowed us with their service and hospitality. She helped our moms serve apple pies instead of wedding cake. She sprinkled flowers all over the buffet tables. She shared with us all her beautiful old plates. She surprised us with a late night round of sloppy joes. She let us borrow all the props and baskets and water jugs for our whole wedding weekend, even for events that she wasn’t specifically there for. I could go on and on. Book with Deanna, she is a true unicorn of the catering world.

It was an absolute pleasure working with Chef Deanna! Her cooking and staff delivered in every way. She catered my 70 person wedding in the Catskills this summer and from the first e-mail exchange Deanna put me at ease with her warmth and obvious competence. I was especially impressed with her attention to detail; the edible flowers everywhere, antique trays and dinnerware, the incredible quality of the ingredients, and of course the simple and delicious food matched the setting perfectly. She also came through with extra glasses and tablecloths for us when our equipment vendor fell short. Can’t recommend Chef Deanna enough!

• To begin with, the food was simply out of this world!
We loved working with Deanna, she made the whole process not only effortless but a blast!
Our wedding, on August 5th, 2017 was at Maple Shade Farm (the most incredible venue) and she truly
understood our vision right off the bat.
We were having a non-traditional wedding, in the sense that we decided to forgo the formality of a sit down dinner and wanted it to feel like a never ending cocktail hour. We told her our vision and then she just ran with it and blew us away!
The presentation of the the entire meal was done in giant cast iron dishes, which our venue only enhanced the beauty and rustic sophistication of her food.
She totally understood what we wanted and the food never stopped coming! To this day, our friends and family
are still coming up to us and raving about how amazing everything was! Which, is such a huge compliment as
people rarely ever talk about wedding food, as it can be pretty forgettable and bland, but Deanna was (not only
as a person) truly memorable. From the moment we met, she made us feel just like family. Our tasting was done casually at her house where
she made us almost everything from our menu (truffle risotto!) and we couldn’t wait for our big day and to see it
all come to life.
She always made herself available to chat with us in the months, days and hours up to our wedding. Checked
with us before she made any changes - no matter how small and rolled with any changed we wanted to make.
She was also incredibly accommodating, as we have several gluten free friends (they have actual allergies)
and she created an entire menu that was friendly to them and the people who aren’t never noticed the difference.
Deanna also catered our rehearsal dinner along with our brunch on Sunday morning, which was huge and made
for one-stop shopping. Her staff was friendly, warm, attentive and great to work with.
Planning can get stressful but she was fun, warm and just awesome to speak with, while also being professional
and detail oriented.
We wish we could do it all over again, if only to eat her amazing food!
